Chocolate chip cookies

It makes a huge batch but the dough freezes well.

1 Lb Butter
2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 Tbs Vanilla
3 Eggs
5 cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
4 cups Chocolate Chips
2 cups Chopped Nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugars together; beat in vanilla; add eggs and beat 3-4 minutes.
Mix together flour salt and soda and add the the creamed mixture.
Stir in Chocolate chips and nuts.
Place small scoops on waxed paper and bake at 350 for 8-10 min. Let cool 5 minutes.
